GORE-TEX® Pro Shell
The 3 layer construction used for GORE-TEX® Pro Shell is designed for offshore sailing. A specific GORE-TEX® membrane is bonded to an outer material and an inner lining. GORE-TEX® Pro Shell provides breathable comfort and durably waterproof and windproof protection. Whether you are offshore sailing or coastal cruising, you can rely on the 3 layer GORE-TEX® Pro Shell.
GORE-TEX® Pro Shell with OCEAN TECHNOLOGY®
GORE-TEX® Pro Shell with OCEAN TECHNOLOGY® is the optimum solution for ocean sailing outerwear to use under the most extreme conditions. The 3 layer construction comprises a specific super high performance GORE-TEX® membrane bonded together with a tough outer material and a specially developed robust inner lining. The garment seams are sealed using a highly durable GORE SEAM™ tape and finally the garments undergo a rigorous testing process to ensure they offer maximum waterproof protection.

As the thermally mapped panels wick away moisture the yarns lengthen. This opens up the structure of the knit, making the garment more breathable - accelerating drying time and keeping the wearer more comfortable through a wider range of activities and climatic conditions.

The Base Layer:
The base or wicking layer (that should be worn next to the skin) is designed to move moisture away from your skin, keeping you dry and warm after bursts of activity. We have two weights of base layer - i2 Lite, which will keep you dry and warm after bursts of activity and in warmer conditions, and i2 Tec, which provides excellent insulation as part of a winter layering system
The Mid Layer:
The middle or insulating layer is designed to be worn over a base layer and under an outer layer. Made from synthetic thermal fibres, it assists the movement of moisture to the outer layer. These fibres do not absorb water; they dry quicky and will keep you warmer. As with the base layer, we have mid layer products in different fabric weights. These range from i3 lightweight microfleece and i4 midweight fleece garments to i5 Crosswind and Windward ranges.
The Outer Layer:
The outer or waterproof layer is intended to keep the elements out. These usually have very little or no thermal properties, but are entirely water and windproof. In order to work most efficiently, no matter what type of sailing you do, the fabric should be breathable to allow the moist air that has built up inside the garment to escape.

PB20 Performance Breathable:
PB20 Performance Breathable can take the kind of beating Bass Strait throws at you. Its solid non porous membrane laminated between two layers of fabric is 100% waterproof yet it allows 1200g/m of perspiration vapour to escape through the membrane's polymer molecules every 24 hours - no matter what the conditions. As the body's temperature increases inside the garment, the molecules in this "smart" fabric move more rapidly, increasing the size of the intermolecular spaces and facilitating the transfer of perspiration to the outside. In addition, because it is hydrophilic ("water loving") like cotton and wool, the membrane actually helps to move perspiration from the body to the outside, which increases comfort.
PB20 is designed to offer very high levels of comfort, durability and mobility.
CB10 Breathable:
CB10 is designed for coastal/harbour boating. CB10 is waterproof and breathable - it uses micro porous coating technology applied to the inside face of durable nylon fabric. Perspiration is transferred through the CB10 micro porous coating making it many times more comfortable than traditional wet weather gear.
